What’s Involved in a Photo Session

The Great Face Race modeling session is designed to be a short and sweet way for you to participate in the book series project.

There is no cost to you to participate, and for your time and permission to use your photos you will receive a number of things including a tshirt and the ability to purchase your images for as little as $1. You will also be notified prior to the publication of the book you will be in so that you can reserve a copy for yourself if you’d like.

Participaiton consists of about a 10-15 minute photo session. Prior to the session, you will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire, as well as two model releases. One release allows the photographer the ability to submit images to her stock agencies for potential marketing to advertisers worldwide. The other release allows use of your photo and/or comments in the the book series The Great Face Race. For young children, no questionnaire is required, but legal guardians will need to be present to complete the appropriate releases.

The goal of these sessions is to be stress free, allowing the photographer to capture the relaxed you. No experience in front of a camera is necessary, and you won’t be expected to “pose”. It’s best if you arrive for your session with natural looking hair and makeup — no makeup required for the guys and kiddies.  You’ll be asked to arrive at your session wearing a white shirt with no logos, and you can bring an extra shirt or two if you want variety.

It’s fun to participate with family and friends, and if you arrive in a group you will receive both individual and group shots. Because of the nature of the project, a wide variety of ages and backgrounds is needed, so you are encouraged to invite parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors!!
